Gore SE: Custom Symbols

1.) In order to use these custom symbols you need two things: Windows Notepad and a Custom Cfg file.

you may skip step 2 if you already know how to make a custom .cfg file

2.) To make a custom cfg file you simply open Gore Se and go to the Player Options and scroll down to Save Config(see Image 1 below). Now give your .cfg file a name (as you see in Image 2 below I saved mine as “cow”) and then click Save. This will save all of your game settings and any custom binds (such as say binds).

3.) Now to add the custom symbols to your config file. To start look at Image 3 below and choose what symbols you want to use (whether it be for a say bind or for your game name). If you notice I have put numbers above some of the symbols. Each number represents one of the symbols, for example the skull and crossbones is 0172.

before doing the next step open notepad up and make sure “word wrap” is off or it may mess up your file

4.) Now go into your \Program Files\Gore Special Edition\settings folder and you will find your saved .cfg file (whatever you named it). Open it with Notepad and now let’s say you want to add symbols to your name. For example lets say I wanted to add the UMC Wings (0184 and 0185). I would scroll down to my name and hold down the ALT Key and then type in those numbers (using the NUMPAD!).

A few things: Again you can use these for your game name or add them to say binds. Also the color codes work on them as well. I didn’t add numbers to the euro symbols but to figure out what number they are u would simply count left from the star (0165). For example the odd looking F would be: 0158, etc.. Also you may have to go into the player options again and this time go to the LOAD CFG. I can’t recall if the game remembers it every time it’s started or if you have to load it each time you play as I have mine set up so it loads automaticly (by going into the settings folder and opening the Auto Client.cfg and at the bottom I added load cow.cfg).

Unless you bind it in the cfg file.
